I agree - we need to know the big picture. I hope we bite the bullet and move away from Microsoft asap. One benefit is the savings of time and costs upgrading Microsoft apps every 3 years.
Totally agree. As one of the lead teachers in my school, I have to become familiar and comfortable navigating and using the Portal(technology/applications) before I can teach it to staff and to students. Where does the time for this come from?
We haven't used a microsoft word document in a class writing project this year since switching to the portal and google docs. It's time to move on! The google docs also allow for students with a Mac to easily work between home and school.
